Home of the largest regatta in the world, the Head of the Charles, Boston is a premier rowing and training destination for collegiate and national champions alike. Now, through a new partnership with Boston’s Community Rowing Inc., Hotel Commonwealth offers guests the quintessential rowing experience on the iconic Charles River. Through the rowing season of April to November, guests and groups staying at Hotel Commonwealth can enjoy unforgettable custom-designed rowing experiences at Community Rowing Inc. Leisure travelers, including couples, families, or small groups, can enjoy private indoor instruction, followed by an on-water experience with one of CRI’s highly trained coaches. Additionally, groups of up to 48 people can row together on CRI’s 12-person barges for a 2-hour session. For any Boston native or visitor, rowing on the Charles River and exploring Boston by way of the water is a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Headquartered at the award-winning Harry Parker Boathouse, non-profit Community Rowing Inc. is the largest public-access rowing organization in North America, dedicated to inviting individuals of all backgrounds, abilities, and experience to grow through rowing. Participation in an on-water excursion at CRI supports their para/adaptive, military, and Let’s Row and Row Boston programs.

Fenway Park Group Tours
Group tours are offered for those larger than 12 people. Batting practice tours are available on game days before the players take the field and birthday packages are also offered with the ultimate package involving trying on player’s uniforms. Take a tour and see the place where the Great Bambino pitched, stop at the Budweiser Right Field Roof Deck, and sit on the Green Monster or in the Left Field Grand seats. See the red seat in the right field where the longest measurable home run was marked in 1946. Drop off your young children at Wally’s Clubhouse and let them have some fun with Wally the Green Monster, get their faces painted, see a magician, play on a Nintendo Wii, and more. Stop by the Souvenir Shop at Yawkey Way and pick up a baseball cap or tee.

Group Skate at Warrior Ice Arena
Experience Warrior Ice Arena, the Boston Bruins training and practice facility that’s also available to the public. The 200′ x 85′ arena complex hosts college, high school, youth and amateur level hockey with seating for over 500 spectators.
